We just finished some of the freshest fish I have ever cooked. Jose, thank you for your friendly assistance selecting a fresh local fish to cook. I also liked hearing how you typically prepare Cobia Filets. I would encourage anyone wanting a friendly fishmonger in the Keys with awesomely fresh products, to make the drive to HAM Seafood.

Amazing family run business! First time I called and even though they were closed he answered the phone and questions. When we stopped in, the place is incredibly clean and sanitized. Presentation of all the fresh fish in clean iced containers with temperature readings and prices easy to see. We wanted fresh grouper, which was being brought back to the shop, so we came back an hour later and I watch the gentleman clean the fish myself and they allowed me to pick exactly how much I wanted. And the I selected a couple of stone crab claws, which he cracked for me. It was expertly bagged and then put on ice for the ride. It was OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS! Will definitely be going back during our stay her in Islamorada!

We wanted to just get a number of half pound fillets to try them out. Along with the fresh shrimp, we had hogfish, snapper, grouper as well as stone crab. What a blast. The owner had his dad fillet a fish in the back while we were picking out the other. Absolutely delicious, and a fun time getting help picking out the fish. Thanks, and we will make this a go-to no matter where we are in the keys.

Been to HAM a few times now when I spend time in Islamorada. Every time it is genuinely a great experience. I’ve been helped by Jose and his mother, two fantastic and extraordinarily friendly people. I’m a big fan of the fresh lobster tails that I steam and make lobster rolls with. Prices are great and the quality is fantastic. Make it a point to pick up some fresh lobster, crab, or fish next time you’re in the area.

This is my new “go to” for everything seafood! Coming from a family where the seafood is always served fresh, you can tell this establishment takes pride in providing the best quality and service. I had the opportunity to come in and purchase an array of local fare and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I left with more than I came in for but I couldn’t resist. The store was clean and they unload the lobster right off the back porch!!!! Ham Seafood left made our family’s visit a memorable one.

As all the reviews say - absolute best place for seafood in all the keys. Jose and Ariel are amazing - incredible service. Phenomenal fresh seafood, family run, thoughtful, intentional, great prices. Amazing smoked fish dip, everything was so fresh. We wanted to stay there longer just to hang out with them they were so lovely. Will never go anywhere else again down here. Support these guys!
